You must book in advance if you wish to visit Thorpe Lakes. You will not be able to access the venue without an advanced booking. It is essential that you make yourself familiar with our new Covid-19 guidelines before you book and travel here. 

There are significant changes to how Thorpe Lakes will be operating in light of Covid-19.

HERE IS THE LATEST GUIDELINES FOR AQUA PARK USE TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF OUR STAFF AND CUSTOMERS. YOUR ACTIONS AROUND THE VENUE MUST REMAIN CONSCIOUS AND SAFE: 

 

Conduct:

 

-        Do not attend Thorpe Lakes if you are showing any symptoms of coronavirus.

-        Indoor changing facilities are unavailable. Please change prior to arrival or use the outdoor, single person quick change beach huts. 

 

-        Good hand hygiene is to be observed throughout your visit. Make use of the hand sanitizing stations provided.

 

-        Refrain from creating any gatherings. Ensure you attend your session with just those participating or only with parents/guardians for under 17's. 

 

-        If toilets are used please use the antiviral spray provided to wipe down surfaces before and after contact.  

 

-        You must book in advance. You will not be permitted to site without a booking.

 

-        Arrive no earlier than 30 minutes prior to your session and leave swiftly afterwards.

 

-        You will be removed from the premise on failure to follow these guidelines.

 

During your aqua park session:

 

-       The max on any session would be 20 people. (Down from 180 last year). Our Aqua Park has been split into two and you will spend 20 minutes on park 1, before moving over to park 2 for a further 20 minutes. The full session time is 40 minutes and includes access to every part of the park. Tickets are priced at £15 PP. 

 

-        The park is split into 2 separate parks, you will use each part for 20 minutes. With a total session time of 40 minutes. 

 

-        With extremally limited capacity social distancing is easily maintained throughout your session.

 

-        Your life jacket and equipment must be collected and returned to the kit staff on the day. All kit is disinfected after each use. 

 

-        Ensure you adhere to all instruction and signage on the day. Our staff are here to help and keep you safe. 

 

-        You must be able to swim 50 meters with a buoyancy aid. *These are included within the price. Min age is 6. Under 8's must be accompanied on the park by an adult. 

 

 

HERE IS THE LATEST GUIDELINES FOR BOAT BOOKINGS TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF OUR STAFF AND CUSTOMERS. YOUR ACTIONS AROUND THE VENUE MUST REMAIN CONSCIOUS AND SAFE:

-        You must follow all signage and floor markings throughout your visit and time on the water.

 

-        Please use your own equipment where possible.  

 

-        Only two people should be involved in the activity. This includes the driver and the customer. Further spectators are not permitted to sit in the boat.

 

-        Participants should stay within their skill level and comfort zone avoiding unnecessary risk of injury.

 

-        When finishing your session please exit the water via the dock ensuring you continue to maintain necessary social distancing from the driver and any other users of the facility.

 

-        The boat and equipment will be wiped down before and after use by the driver.

 

 

 HERE IS THE LATEST GUIDANCE FOR CABLE PARK USE TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF OUR STAFF AND CUSTOMERS. YOUR ACTIONS AROUND THE VENUE MUST REMAIN CONSCIOUS AND SAFE:

During your cable session:

 

-        You must follow all signage and floor markings throughout your visit and time on the water.

-        Only one rider to enter the dock at a time and only once the operator says it is safe to do so. Other users queuing must remain a minimum of 2 meters apart.

 

-        Please only take the handle from the free-standing handle pole. Do not approach the operator.

 

-        Participants should stay within their skill level and comfort zone avoiding unnecessary risk of injury.

 

-        If you are feeling fatigued end your session early and return another day.

 

-        When returning to the start dock you must be distance yourself from other users around the cable park.  

 HERE IS THE LATEST GUIDANCE FOR OPEN WATER SWIMMING TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF OUR STAFF AND CUSTOMERS. YOUR ACTIONS AROUND THE VENUE MUST REMAIN CONSCIOUS AND SAFE:

During your swim:

 

  • Swimming is triathlon swim training. Not 'play swimming'. You must wear a wetsuit or use a tow float and the minimum age is 16. 

  • Please check in and receive your swim number from the burger shack to the left after you have walked over the bridge.

 

  • Swimming will take place on St. Ann’s lake (the lake on the right as you walk over the bridge) with an 800-meter loop available.

 

  • Ensure you check in with the dock marshal before entering the water.

 

  • Ensure you remain at least 2 meters apart from other swimmers as you approach the start dock.

 

  • Please ensure you follow all instruction from the lifeguards throughout your swim.

 

  • Upon exiting the water be patient do not rush and ensure you maintain at least 2 meters apart from other swimmers as you exit the lake and the venue.
